Makise, Japan Calligraphy Style Typeface
Makise is an all-caps brush typeface inspired by the gesture of Japanese calligraphy. It offers expressive display lettering for logos, posters, and branding concepts.
Makise translates a calligraphic brush direction into capital letterforms. Explore it for a short title or wordmark where the stroke character should play an active part in the design.
The product includes multilingual characters, but its Japanese-calligraphy inspiration describes the visual style rather than a promise of Japanese-script coverage. Check the letters your project needs in the preview before choosing the font.
